The 2009 Walt Disney World Moms Panel is off and running today.
You’ll see a mix of familiar faces from the 2008 panel with some brand new faces when you visit the site. There are 16 new additions to the panel selected for the year 2009 based on their elite knowledge of the parks and resorts of Walt Disney World. In addition, one mom (Kim) is returning to the panel for the year to specialize in questions about Disney Cruise Line. How about that! Plus, a few of the 2008 panelists will be staying on in 3-month cycles to help answer the many, many questions coming into the site.
There is also a brand new feature debuting on the site Walt Disney World Moms Panel that provides multiple points of view on a single question. It’s called “Mom Views” and will help give guests several different opinions on an answer – because we all know – we’re all different and have different thoughts about what makes us happy and comfortable. Check out “Mom Views” today!
And finally, if you haven’t been to the home site for Walt Disney World lately, you need to go see the fantastic make-over! http://www.disneyworld.com/ is fresh and new for 2009 with lots of new content, photography and easy to find information. Have fun but be forewarned – you’ll find yourself sending much more time there than you ever expected.

I wish that had been the case. At 4:15am Mikita begged and whined to go out. Her preferred method of waking me up is to rattle the vertical blinds endlessly until I gain consciousness. Then at 6:30am Jefferson followed suit. His wake-up method is just barking loudly. After all their needs are met and I crawled back under the covers they insist on conducting a wrestling match next to the bed. I angrily yelled (yes I get angry) at them to stop all the commotion try to get another hours sleep.

But – on to the Moms Panel. Let’s wrap up the rest of Moms Panel training!

Sunday, they took part in their first video shoot at Epcot. Laura produced the video and the moms did a smashingly good job.

Guitar Dan from Animal Kingdom interrupted our meeting today with a special song created just for the 2009 WDW Moms Panel. It was hysterically funny.

We spent 20 minutes at the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It took us that long just to walk one block. Lots and lots of people there!

Upon arrival back to the resort, the moms got to experience the new In-Room Celebrations delivered by the Disney Florist.
The moms (& dad) got a full briefing on What Will You Celebrate at Walt Disney World.
A presentation of the new celebrations birthday cake – or “whatever celebration” cake available through the Disney restaurants. Doesn’t it almost look too special too eat?

 

Monday is the last day of activities – more photo/video shoots, another tour, and final session before going back to reality.
