My ESP Wacky Moment
This morning I woke up at 3:00am and had trouble falling back to sleep.

While I was tossing and turning one of the bizarre thoughts that entered my mind was hoping I would find some of my family recipes that I’ve lost over the years. Two in particular came to mind – my grandma’s “Fudgies” and my Aunt Theona’s doughnuts. I had the recipes for many years on note cards I kept in a small green plastic container – which is nowhere to be found. I was really thinking this morning about Aunt Theona’s doughnuts. I wondered how many people in this world have probably never experienced the pleasure of eating a homemade doughnut. Doughnuts are so readily available and pretty cheap, why would you go to the trouble of making them at home? Once you’ve tasted one, you’d understand. My aunt’s doughnuts were so darn delicious!
The whole point of this story is – I was up at 3am thinking about how people don’t eat homemade doughnuts and then the wackiest thing happened when I opened today’s paper. Look at what was on the front page of today’s Orlando Sentinel:

You have got to admit this is WEIRD!!
Maybe now I’ll find that recipe. Really weird!

I hope you find the recipe! Another funny thing…the cover of this month’s William Sonoma catalog features donuts and a counter size fryer specifically for making donuts! LOL
PS I have posted 2 updates recently on my blog about DisneySMMoms. I hope to get the 3rd one up today or tomorrow. Again, I had so much fun and greatly appreciate all your hard work going into it!

I was totally freaked out when I opened the paper today. It was too weird to be true.
I’ve been reading your posts – very fun. It’s so exciting to re-live the week through other’s posts. I was so busy I didn’t get much of a chance to soak it all in. I’m so happy for you and the family – and your newest addition (soon-to-be)!

Good grief woman! What is going on down there?
Tossing AND turning at 3 a.m. AND thinking about home-made doughnuts? You are too funny!
I will say you’re right about one thing–that WAS crazy waking up and finding Homer on the front page eating a doughnut! It must be a sign, RIGHT?
So, I guess the next question begs to be asked, “When are you making home-made doughnuts?”
