(Post) Social Media Moms Weekend
It is the Sunday following the end of the first Disney Social Media Moms Celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. Today I can finally think straight, sort of, and not see the world with blurry eyes and a foggy mind.

We wrapped up a very fun yet busy 3-day social media conference for moms and their families at Disney last week. For me, it was exhilarating to meet so many people that I’ve befriended through Twitter over the past year and to finally put real faces with Twitter IDs and avatars. Some people were very easy to recognize from their itty bitty photos on their bios and others totally caught me by surprise. (Yes @dcanoli I’m talking about you!) It was wonderful to see some of my online friends again in person – Allison, Jeni, Cooper, Erin, Janine, and of course, my WDW Moms Panelists Margaret, Diane, Kathy, Joanne, Terry, Suzannah and Andi. It was just such an experience to meet so many wonderful people and spend time with them. I also have to give a shout-out to Susan and Janice, Jennifer, Amy and Maria for all their help in making this event a reality. I know I’m forgetting many folks and I’m so sorry. I think if I recalled everyone this blog would be 20 pages long.
More to come on the activities and wonderful speakers. (Such as Guy Kawasaki, Chris Brogan, Kathy Ireland, Maxine Clark, Marissa Jaret Winokur and the hilarious Maryellen Hooper)

Glad you’re able to rest up a bit. Can’t wait to hear all about it! Based on tweets alone it sounded like a huge success.

I’m still recovering from the amazing trip to Disney! I’m sorting laundry while remembering the magical days we spent with you all. Thanks for the memories……..so much extra spoiling (I think Disney always spoils us)!
But really, I would like to thank you for including our families…..that made this extra special for so many of us with young children!
While I never had the chance to officially meet you last week (chasing a toddler will do that!), I hope to get to in the future! You guys are amazing!

Thank you for an extra magical trip to Disney. We loved our vacation before DisneySMMoms and the conference itself was amazing. I loved being able to take my family and not worry about them since there was so much for them to do. Everyone that helped to plan this put so much into the little details. True Disney magic with lots of Pixie Dust thrown in. Glad I was able to chat with you briefly Friday evening at Hollywood Studios. Rest up and I hope to hear that a second Disney Social Media Moms event will be in the future. I know I will be there, along with my family.

We had so much fun! I hope we get another chance to do this again next year. I got to chat with you briefly, but I don’t think I actually introduced myself. You’re a lovely person!
It was my son TJ’s first trip to Disney, and he loved it! Thanks for giving us an affordable and exciting way to make his first trip to Disney magical.
Although maybe next year we can start the sessions at 9:00 am. I’m still beat!

Ha! That’s so funny – I said the same thing to @dcanoli I didn’t recognize her at all!
I had such a wonderful time, as did the whole family. Thank you so much for all your hard work ensuring this was such a successful event. The whole Disney team and other sponsored groups putting it together did such a great job!

Thanks so much to both you and Laura (and all the behind-the-scenes Cast Members!)!! The amazing effort you put into the planning of the event really shined through. Even the less than cooperative weather couldn’t dampen the event.
I’m sure this event will be talked about for years to come! It was really that spectacular!
AND PS – dcanoli was a surprise! Loved meeting so many folks from Twitter, Facebook and discussion boards!!

Hi Everyone,
I feel so humbled. I’ve never had so many comments before. I always thought pretty much hardly anyone was reading my blog posts. Thank you for not only visiting but for leaving a comment. It means a lot to me! Best to everyone!!!

Thank you (and Laura and all the other cast members) for this event! It was the most magical time I’ve spent at WDW (yes, ever!) … I was inspired, motivated and often moved to (happy) tears for three days straight. I am still trying to process all of it and get my thoughts into my blog. Thank you thank you thank you!

GOOD LORD! I got a SHOUT OUT! Ha! Ha!
SERIOUSLY, Leanne and Suzannah….sisters! Was it that hard?? I guess I need to go and check my avatar…somethings not right somewhere! LOL….
At least NOW we have the formalities out of the way, and the real friendships can begin. Right? Right!
…and while I’m here, let me chime in to say (once again)….GREAT JOB on the whole “sha-bang!” Not only was the actual event a blast, but I’m telling you girl–the Disney bloggers met up and it was “love at first sight.”
I’m not sure I’ve ever met a group of women so quick and felt like I’ve known them my entire life. We haven’t stopped texting, chatting, or talking since we each left Disney World. It was a great experience. Thank you for introducing to me to a group of ladies that I feel certain will become some of my nearest and dearest friends over the years.
I’ll eventually get to blogging on this past week; it will just take me a little bit more time since I have to work and do other things. Give me a little time, and it show up.
Thanks again girlie! – DEBBIE (!)

My family and I had a magical time at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. This event was perfectly balanced. My family had plenty to do when they were not with me. When we were together, the events kept the entire family entertained. The dinners and entertainment were well suited for everyone. I gained valuable information from all of the speakers. The Disney staff members took exceptional care of us, down to the umbrellas that were given to us on the evening that it rained. Thank you for this amazing opportunity. By the way, the “Tweet Tweet” sisters were hilarious!
