Orlando Sentinel article on Twitter

I was interviewed yesterday by Beth Kassab of the Orlando Sentinel about Twitter.   It was fun to talk with her about not only Twitter, but social media in general.  The article appears in today’s (Friday, Mar. 6) Business section.  She followed the print article up with more online thoughts

Then this morning, a consultant I work with showed me a website, My Sweet 16, that shows the 1st 16-tweets by any given twitter user.  Now that was a little scary to see.  It just goes to remind you that everything you do on the web is out there permanently!  It’s often hard to remember that, but keep it in  mind.

Great contribution to the article Leanne! I am fascinated by all of you that twitter…but I just haven’t made that leap yet. I have a hard enough time keeping up on Facebook and my blog!

Thanks Karen. I do find Twitter fascinating and educational. I follow some very impressive and smart people who contribute some great material. It is not easy to get started for most people, myself included, because it’s like diving into uncertainty. But once you do a few posts and start following people, it gets easier and easier.

    Hi Leanne,

Just read the sentinel article while I was taking a break from studying corporate strategy!! Or maybe I should say procrastinating!!! Its like midnight here in Japan right now! This social media thing is just getting awesome! Great quotes from you though!! Did a study on Pepsico for class and I found an article about how Twitter forced them to change back their packaging for their juices!!! Amazing Stuff!!
    Take care,
    Luv, Jumbo!
