  1. WHY?

    I’ve been wondering many things lately, so thought I would compile a list of things I’m constantly asking “WHY?”

    *WHY* Do furniture stores advertise beds as “3-piece” sets when they are referring to the headboard, foot board and rails. They don’t sell these pieces individually so why should they advertise them as individual pieces? Drives me crazy. (more…)

    Merry Christmas Everyone!
    The epitome of Christmas at Mike’s house in DC.
    Mike collects beer steins. Can you guess which one I gave him? Shouldn’t be that hard to figure out if you know me well enough.

    The White House Christmas tree and Menorah.
    I wish everyone the best this holiday season. May the economy improve. May everyone have good health in 2009 and may everyone’s stress level decrease. Let’s all do what we can do to help each other. It’s not going to be easy in the coming months. I know I can’t survive it alone, we need each other for support and friendship.
    Now – off to watch a double-dog dare and triple-dog dare in “A Christmas Story”.

  4. More Moms – More Fun

    Today (Saturday) was the first day in two weeks I could sleep in past 8am. I wish that had been the case. At 4:15am Mikita begged and whined to go out. Her preferred method of waking me up is to rattle the vertical blinds endlessly until I gain consciousness. Then at 6:30am Jefferson followed suit. His wake-up method is just barking loudly. After all their needs are met and I crawled back under the covers they insist on conducting a wrestling match next to the bed. I angrily yelled (yes I get angry) at them to stop all the commotion try to get another hours sleep.

    But – on to the Moms Panel. Let’s wrap up the rest of Moms Panel training! (more…)

  5. Moms & Animals

    Ok – I know many of you want to see more from the 2009 WDW Moms Panel training weekend. And I will oblige and get to those pictures shortly. But first, I have to post pics I took today at Disney’s Animal Kingdom during a walking tour with an Imagineer. I think I might have to submit my work to National Geographic Magazine after this.

    Captured in mid-yawn. I think she’s trying to tell us – that now that the Moms Panel has left, she might be able to get some sleep.

    Cool tidbit told by the Imagineer today – this monument dedicated to the Yeti is actually totally aligned with all the peaks on Expedition Everest. Look for yourself, every peak matches perfectly with the monument tops.

    A sneak peek of whats to come – the 2009 Moms Panel did a photo shoot at Japan in Epcot.
    More to come on the last hours of the Moms Panel training, after I’ve had some rest.

  7. 2009 WDW Moms Panel Training – 1st 24 hours

    Following up from my last post, today we had a very nice breakfast at the conference center and heard from Duncan, Craig, and Charles. Charles have a brief talk about the resorts which led into our mini-tour of the resorts. We saw the Family Suites at the All Star Resort, the new pirate-themed rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort and ended at Saratoga Springs to see the new DVC offerings. From there it was lunch at The Wave at the Contemporary. The group then broke into groups and headed their separate ways until this evening. Some went to Magic Kingdom, others to Epcot and a few headed to Animal Kingdom. The rest of us came back to Coronado to get some work done.

  8. 2009 WDW Moms Panel Training – 1st Update

    Here are photos from the first night’s activities. Can you say Magical Moment – had by all? We met/hugged each other for the first time at a private reception at Rix Lounge at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Remembering last year – this is probably one of the most memorable times of the weekend.
    Then it was off to tour Cinderella Castle Suite, dinner at Crystal Palace and then time to enjoy Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. I only made it to Pirates of the Caribbean, but had a blast all night long. By 11:30pm – beddie-bye, nightie-night, dreamland!
