  1. The Windy City

    October 27, 2007 by Leanne

Just spent 4 days in Chicago, my first time ever to the Windy City. Have to admit, it was as great a place as everyone told me it would be. It felt like a very friendly, fun, artsy, livable place. If it weren’t for my extremely thin Florida blood, I might even consider it a city I could live in the future. I got to walk and shop the Magnificent Mile – also known as Michigan Avenue. Ordered a small bag of the famous Garrett’s popcorn -which was delicious. Shopped a the 7-story Macy’s but didn’t find anything. Found a few bargains at Filene’s Basement – which I didn’t even know existed outside of Manhattan.

The Sears Tower – one of the tallest buildings in the U.S.

Look – there’s color in the trees!

The “bean” statue in Millennium Park.

Somebody posing in front of the Bean. :)

Lake Michigan – with the Pier in the background.

    Canadian Geese – enjoying lunch.

I also attended two (2) tapings of the Oprah Show while I was there. How fun!! I’ll give a detailed account of that coming up. The show I was at will air on November 1 – although I don’t think I ever made it into any of the audience shots. The topic was fitness and health guru, Dr. Oz.

    More to come…

  2. I Think I Love You

    October 16, 2007 by Leanne

I think I love you.. Isn’t that what life is made of… though it worries me to say.. I never felt this way…

    Ladies & Gentlemen ——

    DAVID CASSIDY!!!

SRO – at Epcot – during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival.

Linda and me totally having a blast!

Yes – go ahead – call me “a geek”. I earned it and love it.
David was an absolutely outstanding performer. His voice was as good as ever, he had charisma, and really connected with the audience – with lots of humor and self deprication. What a great time.
I’m certain I’m going to ‘”wake up in love ‘tomorrow’ morning”!
