Saturday night was the fun farewell for Miguel and his wife. Man, are we going to miss him!
But a gig in Paris ain’t all that bad! Congratulations to both of them.
The Guests of Honor – Paris bound.
And the dogs were gated in the back of the house for the night. But they got more attention than if they were running around wild.

I was in New York City this week on business for a few days. I love this city! What a great melting pot. We stayed in mid-town off 7th Ave in the heart of Times Square.
Let’s just get to the photos:
You know how I love the sunrise and sunset photos. I couldn’t resist this one taken from the plane leaving Orlando at daybreak. This is the sunrise over Daytona Beach.
Two and a half hours later – we’re flying over Manhattan.
Me and my VPs.
You’re thinking pizza, right? Guess again. It’s a veal chop parmesean from Bond-45 restaurant in Times Square. It was enough to feed four people.
Jerry’s is the swanky little diner I had lunch at with my cousin.

Who’s the trendy woman wearing those boots?

Look! It’s the debut of Tricia on my blog! And she’s laughing it up with Mike.

Then it was photo-moment hug with Brad.
VIEWERS under 18 – Be Cautioned!!
Yes- she’s topless and playing the guitar – right in the middle of Times Square.
Sorry guys, but all the photos were blurry.
Only in New York!

Where is the time going? How is possible that October is half-way over? We just flipped the monthly calendar over to start September a few days ago (or so it seems) and now we’re almost done with October. Unbelieveable.
This weekend’s weather was picture perfect – total Chamber of Commerce weather. Wow. If it could only be like this year-round. Wouldn’t that be great?
I read on the wires that Bruce Willis finally got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. I’m full of questions today – but how could it take this long from Bruce to get his star and yet Ryan Seacrest got his last year! Something’s definitely wrong with this picture.
Wacky news this week, from the gruesome to the shocking to the whoa! A plane lands on I-4 and its a Governor’s candidate at the controls. A family of four is shot mafia style and their bodies left along the turnpike and a very well-liked local sheriff is killed in a freak accident at a charity event. Then there’s an earthquake in Hawaii. Make it stop!
I spent another Saturday night at the Party for the Senses at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.
Totally fun! And the food – was outrageous! I can’t decide if the lamb-stuffed pastry puff or the shrimp and cheesy grits was my favorite. Both were decadent!
The system won’t let me load photos right now.. Will try again later.

Temperatures finally topped out today in the low 80′s. Ahhhh…. what a welcome relief from the 90+ degrees we’ve had for months now. I long for a trip up north to see the change of leaves. It has been years since I’ve made that trip and I really do miss the brilliant leaf colors. For those of you who live up there – cherish it.
With the cooler temperatures last night came surprise nasty weather, including a tornado. My mom called me in fear last night saying she just heard on the TV news a tornado was heading her way. She somewhat panicked.. Yes, there was a tornado – it ended up touching down in the Apopka area with some damage, mostly some car windows blown out and a roof collapse at a housing complex. No-one was hurt.
In nature news:
Look what I found in my front yard yesterday:

I don’t know what kind of birds they are, but this was the first time I’ve seen them in a bigger flock like this. Normally, there are only one or two birds occasionally grazing in the yards on my street. If you recognize the species, send me a note.
Wine & Cheese:

On Saturday I attended a Wine & Cheese pairing seminar. It was part of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival offerings. The instructor was from Artinsanal Cheese company based in New York. He was extremely knowledgeable. The overall experience was okay. It did perk up my interest in international cheeses. I think my favorite two types are the hard, firm cheeses similar to Parmesan, and the opposite end, the softer cheeses like Brie. The three wines featured were all Spanish wines. I really liked the white wine – the Albarino – which surprised me because for the past few years I have been a red wine, pinot noir fan. Yumm!
What can possibly go wrong with wine and cheese?
Wedding Bliss:

I stopped in at the Magic Kingdom this week to take a look at the new Castle stage show. I shot this picture of a newlywed couple watching the action in their wedding gear. Best Wishes!
Till next time…

Actually, it’s a Party for the Senses and what a fabulous, fun night it was. (mixed tenses there, sorry) Great night all around. The food was delicious, the wine superb, and the people were so much fun.

Christy, Greg and me.

Bob F. and me.

Greg and Vanessa.

Beautiful Vanessa!

Scott and me.

And these next photos are the new impressionistic version of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot.
