So today was fun. Got up early and took part in the first annual Walk for the Arts. I went alone, but found some of my good friends from Local 6 – who made the walk so much fun!
Here we are crossing the finish line (me, Tom & Lauren). I think it’s safe to take about 12 minutes off that time. We were all the way at the back of the pack when the race started!

(The trouble the photog (Tom) had to go through for this picture. First I had to make him wait to take off my sunglasses, then my hair kept getting in my mouth, finally I was ready. The Mayor kept his pose the whole time. He’s obviously used to this paparazzi treatment.)

I’m so glad I went. Even ran into someone from my office. Got to hang out with the very cool people from Local 6 who were just awesome! For those of you who didn’t go this year, mark your calendars to take part next year. It’s for a great cause and was a lot of fun, plus got some exercise in, too! (They even feed you at the end of the race!)
